Never let a problem to be solved, become more important than a person to be loved. -Thomas S Monson

Oh May, Oh My!

This has been a busy month to say the least!
To start it off, we had our beautiful baby girl on April 30th; It was a wonderful
and much anticipated day! We're so grateful that she actually made it to 39 weeks.
I was feeling far overdue, but even though it was hard for me
(also hard on her, Ethan and MOSTLY Jordan)
she is here safe and happy. We will not be doing that again though!
Our Anniversary is May 1st, so that was obviously spent in the hospital,
but we had sent Ethan up to Jordan's parents the few days before I was induced.
We celebrated on Saturday with a fun day going out to eat, seeing a matinee
and shopping... Well pretty much looking around at what I want to buy once
I am a normal size human being again!
I can't believe it's been 2 years and am so lucky that I married the most
amazing man! I also can't believe that our only two fights were about
him needing to be more selfish and to go snowboarding more often...
He's my best friend and I am so excited for more adventures to come :)
One Week after we had been home, little lady got a high fever.
I took her in and we ended up staying there for six days;  Not the expected
experience to have with a newborn, but we are so grateful for her
great physician and the wonderful staff that were so helpful. We are also
indebted to our ward who cleaned our house, went grocery shopping and helped
with Ethan until Jordan's sister could come and get him.
A big thanks to the Swindlehurst family and people in Beaver who took care of him.
Also, thank you my family for dealing with my emotions while I was
a complete wreck; basket case and insane may be better terms!
This Weekend all of my siblings will be in one town, YAY! Ryan, his wife
Heather and their son Luke will be visiting from Pennsylvania! Jodi will be
coming from Texas and I cannot wait! Good thing it's already Wednesday :)
We are blessing Luke and Aimlee on the same day!

Introducing...

Aimlee Ann Swindlehurst
Weighing in at 6 lbs 3 oz, 19.5 inches tall

We were a little concerned about the size of her lips at first!
They were just swollen.

Proud dad and big brother!
Ethan loves her lots and is very protective.

Definitely Ethan's sister... he still sleeps like this.

Our not so fun night back to the hospital.
I was hoping they were going to tell me I'm a paranoid
new mom and send me home with some tylenol.
That however was not the case...

Mothers Day! Jordan's parents brought Ethan down for
us to see him and so they could see Aimlee!

Grandma Bonnie :)

We're still on some precautions, but she is home and healthy!
We love her so much and she fits right in.
Welcome to the world Aimlee; I pray that we can teach you
everything you need to know and give you everything and anything
that you may need. You are so beautiful!

Love This Boy!

He has started dressing himself...

This is what was found...
Empty Bed = Freaked Out Parents

After some searching we found him here...
It was apparently more comfortable than his bed.
I was crying, laughing so hard; Really? A carseat?!

He was playing outside, making little hand prints and he excitedly kept repeating,
"MOM, look at all my cute, little fingers!"
They are cute fingers indeed :)

Every time he plays outside (which is quite often) he requests a
PB&J accomponied by a drink!

He acts like Mr. Independent, but he sure loves to "snug"
How can I resist, "Mom, come snug with me."?
Chores get put off frequently to be replaced with our snug time
and watching a movie or cartoons!

Oh ya, and I'm 34 weeks!
I look a little grumpy in this picture... Probably was!

February

Happy V-Day
My sweet valentine got up early to make a big breakfast for us and
had flowers with my card waiting!
I got a gift certificate to Poncho and Lefty's :) Mexican food is pretty
much the only thing I want to eat these days so I was
really REALLY excited! It was used very quickly.

I am 30 weeks, YAY! The countdown can begin....

ETHAN IS THREE!
We had his party on the 18th; it was a lot of fun to see family and friends!
Ethan couldn't quite believe they were all in one place.

Getting ready for the big party...

His sweet new boots from Gma Mary, he wears them all the time!

He kept sneaking cake and licking out the filling...
Pretty gross, but dang cute!

His new drum set that he can surprisingly make a beat on.

Our new thing is to visit the trains at Barnes and Noble;
He will play with those forever and I get to just sit and be pregnant.
It works out nicely :)

This month has been fun and gone by quickly, like every other month.
I am excited it's over because that means Baby Girl is closer to coming
and I can't wait to meet her! Ethan keeps asking when she's coming out
to play with him?! Good question bud, we'll see!
It amazes me that Ethan is already 3; THAT has gone by fast!
He is so sweet and cracks us up everyday; I love my little man and
can't wait for the years to come :) Happy Febraury!

Salt Lake Trip with the Swindlehurst Crew

Jordan's parents, Bonnie and Tom, were kind enough to plan
a trip for the all their kids, their spouses and grandchildren.
They even paid for everything which is above and beyond; I am so
grateful for in laws who value family so much!

So here is our northern adventure...

Ethan's face after we told him we were on our way to
Grandma and Grandpa Swindlehurst's house!

Waiting for his mama to get ready, watching his favorite show "Dinosaur Train"
We went to visit one of Jordan's best friends, Beau, and his family.
Beau's mom gave him some snow men that he
toted around the whole trip!

Getting ready for Temple Square Friday night!

We actually weren't too cold, but then again we had lots and lots
of layers on! We stayed right next to Temple Square and Ethan was so excited to go see the "beautiful lights" and the "great big temple"
I was excited too because I don't think I've been
since I was a senior in high school.

Saturday we all headed to Sandy to visit the Living Planet Aquarium.
Even though we've been before it was just as fun, if not more.
Ethan wasn't scared of everything this time and actually enjoyed it!

All the cousins playing once we had seen everything!

Ethan with Jordan's dad, "Papa Tom"
This little man would not smile or look at the camera the whole time! He was too busy with cousins and cool new things that he got mad when I asked him to hold still for a picture. Oh well!

This is the only picture I got with everyone in one place!
After the aquarium we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square. I think this was my favorite meal, of course!

Tired boy with a full belly!
We had to wake him up after a few hours
so we could get to Hogle Zoo.

Sad to leave! The tigers were playing and growling with each other;
He LOVED it... All he could talk about was the big loud tigers!
We thought it was amazing too because we'd only ever seen tigers
laying around and sleeping.

Tired and hungry boy, he ate so much that day we were amazed!
We decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen at the Gateway Mall.
I had never been and it was super yummy! We were all kind of wiped out after that day to say the least!

Our first purchase for Baby Girl!
I figured we have to start somewhere since everything in our
house is either blue or jungle themed... mostly both!

On our way home we stopped and ate with my friend Sarah and her hubby Lincoln! After we left I was so mad I did not get one picture with them! I was so excited to see them and I love my dear Sarah!

It was a really fun trip and it was so good to see everyone at the same time and just hang out! Ethan loved playing with all of his cousins and we enjoyed being together as well :)
Thanks again Tom and Bonnie!
